Here’s all the Songs in order with a few notes to keep in mind.
A note to you John. Unless it is a sharp ending, you are the one who determines when the final hit is. So relax and finish the rolls. Look around to make sure you have eye contact before you go for the last hit, then everyone will hit the last note at the same time.
To the background Singers. Please try to remember the moves you were using and bring them back to Life. Sorry that Michele could only make the one rehearsal but she had a Family crisis and couldn’t make it to the last one she was scheduled for.
Ryan, don’t forget you were going to use the warmer sounding position 5. 2 intro passes before Timothy starts singing over the verse form. In the solo section someone didn’t go to the 4 on Noah’s 2nd pass. The form is the same as the verses, so once the ball’s rolling, keep the same cycle. Overview: 2 intro passes, 2 verses, 2 solos from Noah, 2 mores verses followed by a real short pass at end followed by sharp ending. John, you haven’t played this Song before so please give it a few listens to catch the bounce. And the recording has a drop out near the end as it is repeating the turnaround 3 times. Sorry. Just wanted you all to know. So be aware of it and continue to the sharp ending. Lenny (Yemani, Luke and John) Yemani, plan on 4 complete passes after your intro. And make sure you, Luke and John are on the same page. The 3rd verse is the only one with breaks. After 3rd verse 2 solo passes. After Rob takes 2 solo passes keep the beat going for 2 more verses with 3 tags at the end. Break on the last vocal line, then come back with long wrap up kind of ending. Red House (Noah, Luke and John) Noah will take 2 passes before he starts singing. 2 verses followed by 2-3 more solos, then one more verse followed by a break and a long ending. Get eye contact. 2 verses and then a verse with breaks. Then Ryan has 2 solo passes and we come back in to a verse with breaks. After the verse with breaks, continue the Song for 2 more complete verses, with Guitarists weaving in and out between chords and licks. Break at end with big ending afterwards. Overview: 2 loud and wild passes followed by 8 quiet passes with Jimmy singing. 5 more loud and wild passes followed by everyone hitting on the “C” with a 4 count. “C’ again with a 4 count, then one more “C” with a four count. Next a 4 count space. Then Jimmy sings, “Don’t Cry….” (I think you can quietly strum a “C” chord behind Jimmy.) All in all there will be 8 more counts of 4 as he sings the quiet section. Come back in with 8 more loud passes for the second verse. Leave space for the words but the Drums should be doing a lot of fills after each line. Then there are 2 quiet passes with a Guitar solo (Yemani). Back in full force for 4 more passes. Everyone ends with a quick hit on a “C” chord while Jimmy screams, “They’re all wasted…”
