When I started teaching in Music Stores,

I noticed almost all the Instructors seemed to be cut from the same mold. Their approach was that of their predecessors.

Not the wrong School, just the long School.

 

I uttered one of those kind of non-prayers. Something like,

“There has to be a simpler way to explain this stuff.”

In conjunction with that, I felt there had to be an easier way

to see all the notes that are available when you look at the neck.

 

Within a couple of weeks, things begin to surface on the Fretboard.

Concepts began to form in my Mind that have enhanced my ability

to Improvise with ease and make it up as I go.

 

I like to put it this way.

“I like to solve the mystery, yet keep the Romance... “

 

I have found embellishments for those original sightings and watched

as those glimpses turned into unique ways of understanding the neck.

I will endeavor to pass these shortcuts out to you

over the Internet through Audio and Visual Lessons.

 

I Love playing the Guitar. I Hope you can sense that

Music is one of the few remaining Creative Forces

the Human Race is still able to tap into.

 

Several years ago, while I was teaching at Jimmy D’s

(the Floyd’s Barbershop for Musicians) on Short Vine,

I had the Fortune of getting snowed in.

And since my ride home at the time was over an hour,

I decided to spend the night at the store.

Since it has turned out to be one of the Crossroads of my Life,

it will be worth delving into this point later on.

 

For now, let’s just say that I found a Tuning so unique,

that it has literally turned my Musical World upside down.

I am a better player in Standard Tuning as a result of the time

I have spent chasing the Muse in my own.

It is the tuning you are hearing when you are listening to most

of the Improvisational Guitar Instrumentals you will find on my Pages.

 

This Tuning is one of the Revelations I Hope to pass on at a later date.

 

Even though what I Teach truly is a quicker Path to the same end result,

it will take some Time, some Patience and some Effort on your part

to reap the Benefit of my approach.
