Dear John, The Fiddler I backed up was Kevin Crehan, Grandson of Legendary west Co. Clare Fiddler Junior Crehan. A few years ago, Kevin attempted to record his Grandfather & his Music, but in his 90’s, Junior could no longer play well. Kevin then in 2001 recorded himself, a solo Musician, playing as close as possible his Grandfather’s style & repertoire, here in Cincinnati in his basement studio. The results are top drawer as Kevin is not only a talented Musician, but also a professional Sound Engineer as well. He and his wife Michelle now are in L.A.. They had their 3rd son born in Cincinnati this summer. You really should meet them if the opportunity arises. Michelle is also a Singer, Dancer, Writer. All of us who strive to play this Music are Blessed to call them Friends. I could go on & on… Talk to you soon I hope...Regards, Stephen |
