As you explore my site, you will from time to time come across this invitation to find out about one of the reasons I play the way I do. |

It will take you to a Page where I tell the story of my introduction into the Realm of Celtic/Irish Music. Mostly it is about my Experience with the Bands, “Solas” and “the Flock”.
But as I’ve explained on a few other Pages, I seem to be inordinately affected by surroundings, events, relationships, and truly just about anything where Emotions are flowing freely, good or bad.
This Page is dedicated to those Individuals who have marked me in some extreme way. They may have made no effort to impress me personally. But something in or about them changed me in one fashion or another. Enough that I feel compelled to Create this Page, with the Hope that you will become curious enough to check them out for yourself, and reap a similar Benefit or find a new source of Inspiration, just as I did.
To all my Musical and Otherwise Friends I say this,
“I could Create a thousand Pages to tell the World of your effect on my Life, and still need more space and time. This is not meant to be a categorization of who is best or better than someone else. Or who is more or most important to me on a day by day basis. If you are not on this Page, please do not feel slighted. I am merely trying to reflect on some of the more memorable Events. The Times I felt an internal change of direction. A new sense of Purpose. To all those who consider themselves to be part of ”John Redell and the Company He Keeps”, both on the platform and off, I am Eternally grateful for your Love, support, encouragement and influence on who I am and who I am to become. Please know I hold you all in the highest regard…”
Having said that, let me now reveal a few more Reasons I play the way I do.
I know some of what I am about to share may seem to start with a bit of Critique, but know that before you reach the end of each scenario, you will see that I am now a fan and have been impacted immensely by these Folk.
Chronologically I will be stepping backwards through Time, so keep that in mind as you travel with me and meet some of my Muses. There is no attempt to attach order or value, beyond the fact that they are this Page… Since this list will become rather long, and I am hoping it keeps growing, please check back every now and then for the occasional update.
Hope you know I mean the things I say about these Folk. My Life with or without the Guitar has been forever changed due to them... |
